Eriksen comes to be the last 5 of Golden Boy 2011. The other four are Thiago Alcántara (Barcelona), Mario Götze (Borussia Dortmund), Eden Hazard (Lille) and Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).

I don't think Eriksen stands a chance if you look at the other 4. I think Gotze will be the winner.

Well, I think it will be Thiago from Barcelona. To be honest, I even didn't know who Götze and Hazard are before today...

Probably because they play at teams which are comparable to Ajax' level. Dortmund and Lille aren't focused upon as much as on Barcelona.

Maybe. I used to follow Dortmund. They were top as Ajax then...
They won Champions League in 1997. I missed the match on live. I read the newspaper the next day. 'Riedle scored two goals'... That was the title. Juventus was super that season. They beat us in the half final. I think they were even stronger than in 1996. I didn't know Riedle then, and I wondered that: 'Juventus has a man named Riedle?' Because I never thought that Dortmund would beat Juventus in the final.

And nowadays, those top teams then: Ajax, Marseille, Dortmund... Will these teams win Champions League again? For me like proving '1+1' of Goldbach Conjecture.

Eriksen also has proven internationally that he's a very good player. The others not really or havent got an chance to show it. I have no clue who's going to win this.

Götze is one of the best players in Germany a.t.m. He made Dortmund champion last year.. Tiago from Barca isn't that far. Just playing because of injuries of Iniesta and/or Xavi...
Hazard is a skillfull player in Lille was also one of the most important players their.

I think it should be Götze..

Very promising and talented player, I think to give him more to play and know when it let out on the field!

I dont understand, why he doesnt play !
In preparation seemed perfectly, already at such a number of injuries should be given a chance.

He really needs to work on his defensive skills.

I hope he'll be back soon. Our midfield needs more speed. We miss him.

More speed? Yes, but he isn't good enough. The defensive midfielder has to be a good footballer also. Enoh hasn't tactical and passing skills to be a good Defensive midfielder of AJAX.

I do not share your view. His passing dramatically improved during the second part of last season.

Enoh can battle when we play against some strong teams, such as Real Madrid. Sometimes it's important to have an 'aanjager' in the midfield to disrupt the opponent's building-up.
Enoh is absolute not an Ajax-player, like the man I have said before, Desailly. They can do almost nothing when possession. Dutch fans don't like this type players. However, you can't say Desailly is not a top player. He could mark any playmaker in the world very well in the whole 90 minutes.

Don't you think Enoh's an Edgar Davids type ?

No, I don't think so. Davids was strong on ball, having more building-up and attacking qualities. Enoh can never play a match as Davids did in the KNVB cup semi-final in 1993.

Or against Dortmund. :)
viewtopic.php?f=54&t=965&hilit=Dortmund

No way Enoh could and can do that. As Louis says Enoh is not an AJAX-player. He is a good and useable player but not an Ajacied.

I don't think we are entitled to decide that any of the Ajax player is "not an Ajacied".
Seems inordinate to me.
BTW, Enoh :
2006-2008 : Ajax Cape Town
2008-2012 : AFC Ajax

Take it easy, Philippe.
We both want to say that Enoh isn't a typical Ajax player.

That's my point, Louis.
Enoh just doesn't get the typical AJAX-style of playing. Anita did of course. Too bad he left (too early).

Several medias report that Tottenham Hotspur want Alderweireld to join them this winter.
They already have Vertonghen ... not enough ?
