This is a good advertisement/commercial for the Youth Development of AJAX. Can't get any better. 8-)

It is well known that Cruyff became a member of Ajax in 1957. Who knows how he was progressing in Ajax-youth-teams year by year? I only know that for the first Ajax youth team (Ajax A1) he for the first time played in 1962-63. I want to know all the steps he made in Ajax-youth-teams. Unfortunately I even do not know how it was all about in sixties in Ajax. The first team, then reserve team or Ajax-2, then Ajax A1, then - ? Ajax A2? A3? A4? A5? A...? B1? B2? How many teams were there in Ajax A, in Ajax B, and so on? Which youth team of Ajax was for the youngest players of 10 years old? What was that - 'pupillen', 'aspiranten'?

Did some research but nothing came up about his time in the AJAX youth-teams.

Only Denswil and Fischer have real potential, i think.
Klaassen maybe useful.

A little something for our foreign members:

What you see is that not only Klaassen but nearly all the players introduced this season perform well. Klaassen, Veltman and Denswil are really shifting dirt but the others like Andersen and also De Sa and Hoesen are not that far away from reaching that goal. Some young players just need a little more time to get to what is expected of them in Ajax 1. Introducing young players to the Eredivisie standard that Ajax requires needs time and patience. The new Ajax policy under Frank de Boer and company, working their own youth players up from groundlevel to eventually introduce them to the top is a gradual process and
something not all fans thoroughly understand. That is why you sometimes hear the call for
Ajax to go on the market for new players. Recently we have seen the mayority of the newly introduced talents reach a more than acceptable personal standard and with that the call for purchasing players has died away more or less. Not as urgent as it seemed to be anyway. So what we actually see is that the new policy works. The point now is to make sure there is a follow up, young players from the Ajax Academy that are ready to fill the places of the players that make a transfer in due time. That is what Johan Cruijff pointed out to be the gap at the beginning of this season.
A gap caused by the policy of previous trainer/coaches and policy makers that focused more on purchasing players than developing their own talents. But now Ajax shows on all levels that there is a vision for the future and that it creates a stable environment in its first team to let the new talents that are introduced gradually grow further. If on top of that, they can bind those talents in time, I mean at the moment when they break through and till they reach the age of 23 to 24 years old, then Ajax is back in line for a return of the glory days. And what that concerns we can allready see the first rays of sunlight shine through with the performance of our Ajax recently.

Your views are welcome !!!!
